Your choices

Read the privacy policy and terms on first use or when the policy version changes. Account, authorization and sync services start only after your choice is saved. Declining exits the app. The policy version, your choice and its time are recorded locally. Reading on the phone does not require sign-in or cloud sync.

Choose Settings → About → Withdraw Privacy Consent to withdraw and exit. Withdrawal does not automatically delete local books, accounts, watch connections or unresolved orders, or reverse completed transfers and transactions. You will be asked again next time; unfinished sign-in authorization must be restarted. Use the contact details below to request information deletion or account closure.

Local books and files

Selected TXT files, chapters, reading progress and preferences are saved in the app's local directory. Import does not alter the original file. The app reads only files you select in the system picker and does not scan all storage. You choose the destination when exporting.

Device model, system and app versions are read for compatibility and version display. This version has no advertising or third-party usage analytics. It does not request contacts, SMS, precise location, Bluetooth scanning or unrestricted storage access.

Watch connections and cloud sync

Cloud sync requires sign-in. Pairing processes the watch's code, app identifier, device identifier and model. Account-to-watch-app connections are stored in Huawei cloud and retained until disconnected. You can disconnect and pair again. After clearing local data or changing phones, sign in with the same account to find your connections.

When you confirm sending, or keep auto-send selected in the import preview, selected text, book title, chapters and sync progress are uploaded so your chosen watch apps can receive them. Selecting a file for preview alone does not upload its text. Turn auto-send off in the preview or Preferences. Upload does not delete the source file or phone library.

Cloud text and temporary tasks remain accessible for at most 24 hours. They may be cleared after a 30-minute grace period once every recipient confirms storage. Access stops at expiry; physical deletion may follow later. Accounts, connections and membership records do not expire with the text. Huawei cloud and other cloud services support sync and account services, processing the network address, request information and account verification information needed to provide them.

Sign-in, membership and payment

When you choose HUAWEI ID, Alipay or WeChat sign-in, the provider handles the authorization. The app receives the result, and the WristTale account service processes authorized account identifiers, nickname and avatar for sign-in, connection restoration and membership verification. We record the platform, first use, latest sign-in and sign-in count to manage accounts and distinguish platform services, without adding a device fingerprint. Sign-in records are encrypted locally. Signing out clears local sign-in records without closing the server account. Switching accounts provides access only to that account's devices.

Submitting a HarmonyOS-specific code processes the code, your account and the redemption result to grant and restore membership and prevent repeat redemption. For purchases, we and the payment provider process the order number, product, channel, amount, payment status and membership. The app may retain and check an unresolved order to avoid duplicate payment; signing out does not delete it. We do not receive card numbers or payment passwords.

HUAWEI ID login uses the account service provided by the Huawei system to process the authorization you initiate and account identifiers for sign-in and identity verification. We do not request its phone number, shipping address, nickname or avatar, or receive your HUAWEI ID password. Different sign-in methods are not automatically merged using a nickname or phone number.

Alipay authorization and payment SDKs are provided by Alipay (China) Network Technology Co., Ltd. for sign-in and payment you initiate. They may process device, network and authorization information. Payment components also use device identifiers and security information for fraud prevention. Persistent identifiers may remain after clearing app data or uninstalling until a factory reset or system reinstall. Consult Alipay's notice for related rights requests. Tencent's WeChat OpenSDK supports sign-in and payment you initiate. It processes WeChat availability, authorization interactions and results, and order information. WeChat handles related information under its own rules. This app disables the SDK's payment diagnostic reporting and logs. These SDKs are enabled only after consent and your use of the relevant feature. Licenses are under About → Open-source licenses. Network access, network status and payment-window protection support the relevant services and payment security.

Other features

When you tap Paste in the activation-code field, the app reads the current clipboard text to fill that field. It does not read the clipboard in the background or upload other clipboard content.

Choosing Copy WeChat ID and open WeChat writes only support ID niuverse to the clipboard and attempts to open WeChat. The app does not read the clipboard, add friends or send messages automatically. Guides, terms and privacy pages open wristtale.com; visits follow the website's notice. Xiaohongshu opens in its app or a browser. Rate App and Check for Updates use Huawei AppGallery, which handles account, review or upgrade operations. This app does not read review content.

Desktop service cards only provide Import TXT or Open library entries. They do not show accounts, book titles or reading history, or start sign-in or sync in the background. Opening the app still requires its privacy choice.

Retention and deletion

Local books and preferences remain until you delete them, clear app data or uninstall. Deleting a local book does not cancel an uploaded task or remove a watch copy. Disconnecting stops future cloud access without deleting saved watch content. Keep your source files separately; expired cloud text cannot be restored.

Accounts, connections, orders and security records are retained for service purposes and applicable legal obligations. Unnecessary information is deleted or anonymized after its purpose ends. We process and provide information only as needed for the service, with your authorization, or as required by law.

Your rights and contact

You can delete local books, change preferences, disable auto-send, disconnect apps or sign out. To request access, correction, a copy or deletion of personal information, account closure, withdrawal of relevant consent, or to complain, email [email protected] or contact WeChat ID niuverse. Provide only necessary details such as the platform, sign-in method and relevant order number for identity verification; never send passwords or complete sign-in credentials. Requests are handled after identity verification under applicable law. Closing an account or withdrawing consent does not automatically refund a payment; legally required transaction records may be retained.
