Garmin Forerunner 255 Ebook Reader

Garmin Forerunner 255 can read TXT books with WristTale. We have checked the app on this watch: book text fits inside the circular display, with a reading page indicator below it. Your phone handles the library and sends selected content; once saved on the watch, that content is available offline.

Reading on the Forerunner 255

The Forerunner 255 combines a circular screen with physical buttons. The curved edges leave less space for text near the top and bottom than in the middle. Try a short passage first and choose a comfortable font size before sending more chapters. The number of visible lines will depend on your settings and the text itself.

Prepare text before syncing

TXT novels, vocabulary lists, and short notes work well for this workflow. Preview the file on your phone and fix any garbled characters before transfer. A scanned page does not become readable text by changing its filename to .txt.
