Garmin Fenix 8 / Quatix 8 / Enduro 3 / Fenix E Software Version 22.21 Beta Update (Check for Updates Only)

Garmin has posted software version 22.21 Beta for the non-Pro Fenix 8 branch on April 7, 2026.

This is a Public Beta build released as check for updates only, so it should not be treated as a full live rollout.

What "Check for Updates Only" Means

Garmin says this build is available through the watch's own update menu rather than through manual file loading. In practice, that means enrolled beta users need to request the update from the device itself, and not every eligible watch will surface it at exactly the same time.

Supported Devices

Garmin lists the following models for 22.21:

  • Fenix 8 AMOLED 43mm / 47mm / 51mm
  • Fenix 8 Solar 47mm / 51mm
  • Enduro 3
  • Quatix 8
  • Fenix E

Is 22.21 Beta or Stable?

This forum announcement is part of Garmin's Public Beta program, so 22.21 should be treated as a beta branch update, not as a general stable Garmin firmware release.

The first thing to confirm is whether your watch is on the non-Pro beta branch and enrolled in the correct software channel.
