Garmin has released software version 21.18 Beta for the Fenix 8 series, Enduro 3, and Tactix 8 watches on January 24, 2026.

What's Fixed in 21.18 Beta
This beta release focuses specifically on stability and bug fixes:
HRV Chart Crash Fix
Problem: Users reported that the HRV (Heart Rate Variability) chart would crash when interacting with it.
Solution: Garmin has fixed the crash issue. Users can now safely view and interact with their HRV data without experiencing app crashes.
Garmin Messenger Performance
Problem: Scrolling through long message threads in Garmin Messenger caused noticeable delays and lag.
Solution: Performance has been optimized for smoother scrolling experience, even with lengthy conversation histories.

- ECG Feature: Disabled during beta testing
- Dive Features: Disabled during beta testing
- Aviation Features: Disabled during beta testing
These features will be re-enabled in the stable release.
Rollout Status
As of the release, approximately 50% of enrolled beta users have received the update OTA (Over-The-Air). If you haven't received it yet, you can manually check for updates.
